You're No Good
I got my first musical instrument when I was 20, a harmonica in the key of C. I was living alone in my grandpa's mansion and bored in Indy with out many friends while at college. A few days later, I went to the library and got the first Bob Dylan record I ever heard. His first album -s/t, and track number one is called "You're No Good."
That song is the first lesson I ever had in learning music. I learned how to play harmonica by listening to that song over and over, singing in between the solo. I must have listened to it 50 times a day for weeks.
Shortly after that I bought a guitar and harmonica holder and used the same song to teach myself how to play guitar.
Anything, everything I know how to play and sing and write is from what I taught myself by listening to this song- and then so on. I haven't heard it for over 6 years until this rainy blue day when I sought it out.
I sure have learned a lot, but compared to your rythym and soul Bobby, you're right - I'm still no good. You were talking to me right?
